What is included

  • Gutters cleared by pole vacuum from the ground, up to three storeys
  • Camera check of every run before and after
  • Each run flushed with water to prove it drains
  • Waste bagged and taken away
  • Photo report by email the same evening

Signs you need it

  • Water spilling over the front edge when it rains
  • Plants or grass growing out of the gutter
  • A dark stripe or green streak down the brickwork
  • Birds busy in the same spot on the roofline

A blocked gutter does its damage slowly. Water that cannot reach the downpipe spills over the front edge, runs down the same few courses of brick every time it rains, and soaks into the wall. The first sign inside is usually a damp patch high up in a bedroom corner, by which point the gutter has been full for a season or two.

We clean from the ground. A carbon-fibre pole carries a high-power vacuum hose up to the gutter, and a camera on the same pole shows us inside the run. That means no ladders resting on old cast iron, no boots on your flower beds, and pictures of every metre we clear. Ladders come out only when something needs a hand: a compacted outlet, a repair, a guard to fit.

Once a run is clear we pour water in at the far end and watch it reach the drain. If it does not, we rod the downpipe or tell you why. You get the before and after photos by email that evening, with a note of anything worth keeping an eye on.

What a clean costs

The price depends on the house, the height and how much of it you want doing. Front and back covers the two long runs where most of the leaves land; all round adds the sides, the porch and any bay. Use the quote on the prices page for your exact figure, or ring and we will price it on the phone.

“Fixed price on the phone, fixed price on the invoice. They also spotted that two brackets had pulled out above the bay and refixed them while the ladder was already up, for twelve pounds.”
